August 2019 goals

It's the end of the month, which means it's goals time!

As usual, I'll update the progress on July's goals, then set new goals for August. Easy peasy. I mean, hopefully.

July 2019 goal update:

1. Book Four of The Clan-Vampire Clash (title TBD): Complete the rough draft. Stretch goal: Start in on the developmental edits.
   • Result: Success! And I met my stretch goal too! Developmental editing has begun.
2. Season three of Sam's story (Troupe-only side story): Determine what happens next in detail, outline, and start the rough draft. Stretch goal: Finish the rough draft.
   • Result: A little behind here. I'm starting the rough draft this week, which does include three days in July, so success, I guess? But I didn't come close to meeting the stretch goal.
3. Work on closing out the launch of A Brush with Blood, including modifying the series launch plan as needed. Stretch goal: Close out the launch completely.
   • Result: Fail. I didn't get to this at all since creating those well-researched, targeted Amazon ads from goal #4 is taking more time than anticipated. But, better done well than done hurried.
4. Start well-researched, targeted Amazon ads with a low bid. Monitor and adjust as needed.
   • Result: Failure of sorts. Really, it was a failure to foresee how much time it would take to do the "research" part of "well-researched, targeted Amazon ads". But I have been working on it (and even have a detailed plan for Amazon ads in general) and should finish it in the next week or so. I hope.
5. Schedule cross promotions and giveaways into August and beyond as possible.
   • Result: Super-success! Cross promotions are scheduled through September and into October. August's giveaway spots are full, and September's are half full.

August 2019 Goals

2. Season three of Sam's story (Troupe-only side story): Write the rough draft and complete the developmental edits for the entire season. Start in on line editing the first installment (which is actually a bit of stretch goal but I don't want to admit it, lol).
3. Work on closing out the launch of A Brush with Blood, including modifying the series launch plan as needed. Stretch goal: Close out the launch completely.
4. Start well-researched, targeted Amazon ads with a low bid. Monitor and adjust as needed.
5. Schedule cross promotions and giveaways into September and beyond as possible.
