All right, this week I did a bunch of the legwork for you and perused Amazon searching for some intriguing vampire series that I haven't read yet. I used my usual system of hunting for books on Amazon by looking for books with a ton of reviews averaging around 4.5 stars or more then checking out the book description and a few reviews. My results are below.
Side note #1: Three of them are in Kindle Unlimited for any KU members out there.
Side note #2: I haven't actually read any of these yet, though I am intrigued by all five options. Given an infinite amount of time, I would check all of them out.
A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest
- In a nutshell: Regular human girl gets kidnapped to a magical vampire island and becomes a slave to the price of the vampires.
- In Kindle Unlimited? Yes (as of the date of this posting)
- Series Name and Number of Books: A Shade of Vampire, 50 books(!) (as of the date of this post)
- Where to check it out: Amazon
Death Becomes Her by Michael Anderle
- In a nutshell: Girl with an attitude takes over for a god-like figure and has to save the world. With vampires and werewolves.
- In Kindle Unlimited? Yes (as of the date of this posting)
- Series Name and Number of Books: The Kurtherian Gambit Series, 18 books (as of the date of this post)
- Where to check it out: Amazon
Born in Fire by K.F. Breene
- In a nutshell: Supernatural bounty hunter with a sense of humor and a secret is forced to team up with a vampire.
- In Kindle Unlimited? Yes (as of the date of this posting)
- Series Name and Number of Books: Fire and Ice Trilogy, 3 books (as of the date of this post)
- Where to check it out: Amazon
God Touched by John Conroe
- In a nutshell: NYPD officer who moonlights as an exorcist discovers vampires, were weasels, and his girlfriend's overprotective vampire mother.
- In Kindle Unlimited? No (as of the date of this posting)
- Series Name and Number of Books: The Demon Accords, 12 books (as of the date of this post)
- Where to check it out: Amazon
- Side note: This one has the most intriguing premise to me. I think it's the demon exorcisms + the usual vamps + the were weasels.
Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh
- In a nutshell: A vampire hunter falls in love with one archangel while she hunts another.
- In Kindle Unlimited? No (as of the date of this posting)
- Series Name and Number of Books: Guild Hunter, 10 books (as of the date of this post)
- Where to check it out: Amazon, iTunes, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble
And that's it. I of course have an epic ton of books on my reading list, so I don't know how soon I'll get to these. If you try them out, let me know what you think!
