Today, I'm going to do a little something different: recommend a podcast! Or specifically, a podcast episode. It's an interview with YA, Urban Fantasy, and literary fiction author Catherine Webb (or Kate Griffin or Claire North, her other pen names). It's got a peek into the business-side of things as an author as well as a bunch about the creative side. Plus, Webb seems like a delightful person throughout the entire interview!
From Imaginary Worlds: "You may know her as Claire North, author of "The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August." You might also know her as Kate Griffin, author of the urban fantasy series about sorcerer Matthew Swift. You may have read her Horatio Lyle detective novels, which she published under her real name, Catherine Webb. But even if you haven't read any of her novels, you're in for a treat. I talk with Catherine Webb about being a wunderkind who got published in high school, and why she might be on the verge of coming up with another pseudonym. Featuring readings by actress Robyn Kerr."
