May 2017 Goals

As usual, we'll start with an update on April's goals
- Fail. It turns out I'm tweaking the wording of The Impossible Creation much more than I anticipated. The first readthrough took both longer to do and longer to act on the comments (and I had some technical difficulties as the icing on the annoying cake). That said, I should be ready for the second readthrough by the end of this week, so I'm not terribly off-track. I also scheduled in some buffer, so this delay shouldn't impact the launch date.
- Almost a complete success. Line-by-line self-editing is done for Part 1 of An Uncertain Death. And I am literally one scene away from being completely done with one of the ultra-secret bonuses for The Impossible Creation launch, which was my goal.
- Success! I actually ran two compaigns: one was a kindle paperwhite giveaway with some author friends and the other was a round of Facebook ads. Welcome new Troupe members!
Now that we're up to date, let's dive straight into May's goals:
- Deliver the final draft of The Impossible Creation to The Certain Cell no later than May 17th (four weeks ahead of launch).
- Finish preparing everything that will support the book launch of The Impossible Creation, including the ultra-secret bonuses.
- Run at least 1 campaign to find new readers.
And that's it. It feels pretty doable, although I have some wiggle room with goal #2 since The Impossible Creation doesn't launch until June 14th. Which is great, because my parents are visiting in May and brother and sister-in-law are visiting in June before the big launch...so I may need it. Either way, I'm feeling pretty good about meeting these goals (or only failing by a little). :-)
