All right, I admit it. The song that today's quote is from doesn't strike me as particularly wise or motivational. But there is one line that speaks to me.
"Shine bright like a diamond
Shine bright like a diamond
Find light in the beautiful sea
I choose to be happy"
It's that last line that gets me. "I choose to be happy." It reminds me that sometimes happiness is a choice. I can focus on the bad things or on the good things. And no one can decide that for me. It's not always that easy, but it's a start.
