I'm not sure if it's a Thanksgiving hangover or if I'm excited about the progress I've been making with my books or about finally scheduling the cover design for the long-awaited book 1 (and updating the title!), but I've been feeling incredibly thankful lately. So that's what this week's #MotivationMonday (or #MondayMotivation if you prefer) is about: remembering to be thankful for all that I have.
Here's the quote:
"I'm nothing special, in fact I'm a bit of a bore
If I tell a joke, you've probably heard it before
But I have a talent, a wonderful thing
Cause everyone listens when I start to sing
I'm so grateful and proud
All I want is to sing it out loud
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me"
From "Thank You For The Music" by Abba.
For me, it's not so much about the music and the singing--especially since I'm a bit on the tone deaf side of life though I do love to sing in the privacy of my own home/car/shower--but more about the words and the writing. This song reminds me to be thankful I get to do what I love (even it feels hard or impossible sometimes).
