November 2017 Goals

Time for the monthly goal session! As usual, we start with how I did on October's goals.

1. Almost done. I'm on track to finish this by next Wednesday. Since that's November 1st--i.e. one whole day late--let's call this one good.
2. Complete, like ages ago.
3. Fail (kind of). I ended up putting this on the back burner in favor of the Spooktacular Sale for The Impossible Creation and working on An Uncertain Death. I did make some progress, though. I now have a crazy-detailed outline ready to go for the entire book. So when it's the right (write?) time, I'll be ready.
4. Success! The Impossible Creation is on sale for $0.99 now through November 5th without much for me to do in the meantime. :)

Now for November's goals:

1. Finish up self-editing of An Uncertain Death, Part 2. Start in on Part 3.
2. Address An Uncertain Death Part 1 beta reader comments.
3. Start in on the print readthrough of An Uncertain Death, Part 2.
4. Analyze what went well and what didn't during the Spooktacular Sale. Tweak launch/promotion plans accordingly.
5. Based on the results of the book cover design tourney, schedule a cover designer for An Uncertain Death.

And there we have it. Goals for the next 30 days or so! Of course, Thanksgiving is in there, so I might fall a little short, although I did try to account for it. Time will tell...

And because it amuses me (and because it's sometimes useful to look back at how far I've come rather than looking at how much farther I want to go), here are my goals from one year ago: November 2016 goals. Which was also my first blog post ever!
