Per a reader request, here's what I thought about Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
First and foremost, Rey is still awesome. :) And so are light sabers and the force and little alien furballs that I just want to cuddle with and love forever and all the other stereotypical Star Wars things. There are also some will-be-iconic scenes that you don't want to miss.
But after that, I'm not sure what I thought about it. I mean, I liked it, but I'm not sure that I loved it as much as The Force Awakens. And I think that's for two reasons. First, I loved (love-love-LOVED) the banter between Rey and Finn, who don't get a whole lot of screen time together in The Last Jedi. Secondly, the movie had a few political moments that were a little more heavy-handed that I would have liked. Ultimately, I'll have to see how I feel about it after a second (and third) watch.
To summarize: if you're a Star Wars fan at all, definitely go see it. If you're not, maybe skip it.
