Since I went with the "Defying Gravity" quote for Motivation Monday, I thought I'd keep the Wicked theme going with this week's pick for Women Crush Wednesday: Elphaba, also known as the main character singing "Defying Gravity," although Glinda has some lines too.

So, why do I like Elphaba? She's able to reject material goods and prestige based on her principles. Sure, she may be a bit on the idealistic side--which, by the way, is definitely something I relate to--but she's unquestionably brave when she flies off into the great unknown (which just happens to be the scene during which "Defying Gravity" is sung). That bravery is something I aspire to.
