October 2017 Goals + New 90 Day Goals

Time for the monthly goal session! As usual, we start with how I did with September's goals.

1. Complete and just in the nick of time!
2. Complete. Also by the skin of my teeth.
3. Fail (but by the skin of my teeth). I actually worked on this yesterday since I knew I had this deadline. I plan to finish it up tomorrow, which is still in September, so let's maybe call it good?
4. Success! Ran (and am running) a bunch of different ones. As usual. Maybe I should take this one off future goal lists?
5. Bonus goal: Moved to Michigan without any casualties!

And now for the update on the ninety-day goals for July - September.

1. Lol. Not. Even. Close. I'd like to say that the almost-month I lost travelling to and from and back to Michigan is why, but I don't think I would have made goal this anyway.
2. This actually changed to "Do print readthrough for Book 1, Part 1" which is complete! So maybe this counts as complete then?
3. Most definitely complete. Beyond complete.
4. Again, all but complete.

Ok, so seeing how I *really* didn't do well predicting how much I could edit and how fast, I'm going to try to be a bit more reasonable even though it hurts my "I just wanna get this published" soul.

So, goals for October - December 2017:

1. Deliver An Uncertain Death (Book 1), Part 1 to beta readers.
2. Finish self-editing on An Uncertain Death, Part 2. Self-edit the first third of An Uncertain Death, Part 3. (Note for me: that's through what's currently marked as Chpater 24, though it will be a whole lot higher once I update all the chapter numbers.)
3. Get most of the way through the rewrite of Book 2. (Side note: I'm about 90% sure that enough has changed with the extensive Book 1 changes that I should just rewrite this from scratch versus try to edit it into oblivion. But technically I haven't decided yet.)
4. Run and analyze results of a $0.99 promotion on The Impossible Creation.

And finally, October's goals:

1. Self-edit An Uncertain Death, Part 2, what is currently marked as Chapters 18 - 21. (For those keeping track: No, I did not just backtrack. Due to all the content changes, my chapter numbers are off, but I'm not fixing them until I'm done with this round of editing.)
2. Deliver An Uncertain Death, Part 1 to beta readers.
3. Start rewrite of Book 2 (including deciding about how in-depth this is).
4. Prepare and run a $0.99 promotion on The Impossible Creation.

Wowzer, that was a lot. I mean, I do love goal-setting, so I can't say I'm surprised. I can say that I'm excited to see what the next ninety days bring.
